One last time...

One last time...

I would like to see
In my eye
The golden gate
One last time
Before my spark
Fades away one last time

How the bay reflects
Reflects the greatest depths
Of my soul
My heart

Seeing the reflections
Of my soul
In the depths of the bay

As the golden gate
Glitters within it's
Golden age of greatness

As I am in my winter
I look upon the depth
Of father time and know
I am not even a second
Or glitter in father time's eye

As I stare at the last memory
Memory of the golden gate
My last reflection
Capturing the soul of
Of the golden gate

As I walk across from one end
That I have traveled long and hard
36 years have passed
All those moons of romance
To all those sunny summers

I take my last stroll
Across the golden gate
The golden gate
I cross and fade
Fade into eternity

Across the reflection
Of the golden gate
In my eye...
In the year...
of the great dragon

One last time...

Of the Golden Gate

Beads on a Glass Heart

Beads on a Glass Heart

Beads... Streaming down
Down the surface of my heart
Feeling every emotion
Absorbing in my heart

As I feel the sorrow
Sorrow coming
Coming from the Beads
of emotion from your heart
Beads... Beads...

Crossing my existence
crossing my short time
Time on Earth
Those beads
Are short concentrated
In each Rain Bead
That touches my heart
My soul

As I bead within the Beads
Each Emotional bead
cracks my casing
of My Glass Heart
As my heart starts
To shard
breaking apart

Some beads are happiness
Others are beads of pain
Beads of sorrow
Beads of sadness

Beads
Of our  life
Beads heavy
Beads shattering me
Shattering my glass heart

Shattering into cracks
Into shards
Pieces of my  life
To soon
To soon fall into pieces
Little pieces of Sand
Ground down to nothing

Glass Pieces of my heart
become the sands of time
As Beads
wear me down
Wear my Heart of glass
Into bits of Sand
Of time that are walked on
By others.

Morning Gardening

Morning Gardening

This morning
With the breeze
The air
The temperature

I remember feeling
Feeling the cool dirt
Between my fingers
My fingertips
As I remember loosing
The soil with the three claw
Claw tool
To prepare the soil

How I remember my Dad
Giving me tasks to finish
Finish up mixing the top soil
Digging up the gardens
In the different areas
Areas that dad wanted
Wanted to plant his garden

How I remember the hard work
All the work the family did
In Tuscon... In New Jersey... In Guam
Finally in New Mexico

All the different Seeds he planted
The blueprints on paper
He would spend hours drawing
Depending on what base we were at
He would look through seed catalogs

Figuring out which would not grow
In that climate or that season
He made sure that his crops
Were always watered

When come harvest he would
Would pick the crops
He would give some away

Some crops he would
Would have my mom
Make varies dishes
Or Breads
To be given away
Or to be sold

I remember ever season
All the time at about the same time
I would help  my dad
With Harvesting.. digging...
Keeping up the Garden
In the Spring
In the Fall

How I remember ...
My dad in the Mornings
At Dawn

Brisk Great Falls Morning

Brisk Great Falls Morning

Brisk the wind
As the wind of God
Touchs my cheek
Touchs my trench coat
Made of Leather
That drapes me

I feel it is my armor
So that life does not
scuff me up to much
Brisk Morning
Tells me that God
Is around
Touching the Birds
That lay new baby birds
As you hear them In the nest
The little ones
Chirping Away

Chirping to know
Their Parents will be back
With the early worm
To be fed and care of...
Then one day they will leave
Leave the nest
To start their own nest
In another tree of life

As I walk on man made walk
I look at the little fox
That is no longer little.

How the air is cool
How to see the beauty
The Beauty of the light
Upon my brow

Brisk the air
Brisk life can be
As the seasons past
They have taught me so much
I miss my youth
The travel
The unity
Once upon a time

As I walk
Walk to the bus
To go to work at dawn
To ride To metro
To DC area

Traveling on the rail
To work near the Potomac
Potomac River
In Old town
Alexandria

As I step on to the bus
I will miss the quiet
Quiet community
Of Great Falls

But there is always
Always tomorrow Morning

Brisk

God's Breath

God's Breath

As I take in...
The breath of God
I feel him within...
My heart... My soul... My mind...

God's breath
How it brings thoughts
Of life to our eyes
Our hearts
Thinking we should
of listen to our...
Our voice and God
That dwells in us
Telling us
Do what our heart tells us
To feel and live life
But we listen to others...
You should be..
Do this because...
Or ...
Just do what your heart...
Heart whispers to you
Your soul
Your being...
Listen and take in God's breath

Watch the sun
Be reborn
Feel its warmth
The beauty
And the majestic view
Of new hope

Then feel God's breath
Within your lungs
Within your soul
Within your heart

Gods breath

Petaless Blossom

Petaless Blossom

When my blossom
Is at a end
And the last petal fall
Falls to the dust ...

Will they understand...

I miss the one that...
Planted me.

He left me help
But the other seed
The other seed
Took what is left...

I am left in the garden
To live my season
My season out
Without my gardener

As all my petals...
are almost gone
I am left alone
No one care what
What I say.

As I start the final
Final seasons
In the snow

The other blossoms
Are doing good
As I am left in the snow

To turn to dust
As I see the rest
Of what the gardener left
The other uses it up
For itself.

Forget its other seed
That is related to it.

As my Last petal is gone
I wither and I am tilled under.

Walk at Dawn

Walk at Dawn

As I step up the step
Of the house I dwell
I feel God caressing
My cheeks as a brisk breath
Of God awakens me
To a start of a new day

I look round to see I am alive
To see I have another day
To make my life worth something
To show my dad that he did good
In his oldest son
All the talks; all the walks; all the fishing
That it was for something

I walk in my suit
To feel my dad's spirit
Walking with me
Telling Me
Right from wrong
His voice in my head
In my heart
That I have another day to do good

He always told me:
Remember where you came from
Help others
Think before you do

I always hear and feel it
In my gut
In my heart
In my mind

I see the little foxes
In the morning
The little birds all around
Hearing them chirp
Chirp their songs
As it start to lighten
And the shadows fade

I sometimes see my fathers
My fathers steps as he fades
Faded into the mist
Mist of the morning

To know I am not walking alone
But with my father in the morning
Every morning
Like in my childhood.
When we fed the ducks
Or get the newspaper
In the morning
My father would get me
Yoohoo and small cakes
Like when he was a kid
He wanted to share his past
With me.

He will always live in my heart
He will always walk with me
In life.

Spring Walk

Spring Walk

Walking up the red brick
Of a monday morning
Listening to the birds
Smelling the fresh cut grass

Old town
So beautiful in the glimmering Day break
As the light of day
Lights up the morning
Waking the song of the day
In the morning
From the chirping
Of the young
With wing for the horizon
Of Tomorrow

As the birds feed
Feed their young
With the early catch
They grow so fast
They leave the nest
As quickly as the are hatched
To stretch their wings
Of knowledge
That you have fostered
That you have taught
Then the rise
Like the sun
In the morning breeze
To catch the wind
To glide into the horizon
Into the light of the future

As they become grown up
Have their children in their season
Season of their Spring
And they too
Will watch their young hatch
And learn
and fly away

As I walk the red brick
In Old town Alexandria
I have watched many sunrises
And know that I have seen
Many of my students grow
And fly away from the nest
Maybe one day I will see
See my own Fly away

As I look at the sun
I shed a tear
In the morning light
To walk in the breeze
In the season of Spring

9-Months (Dedicated to my Mother)

9-Months

I was cared by mother
Whatever she ate
I ate
Whatever she did with her body
I felt
I was one with my mother

She cared for herself
To care for me
She touched my soul
She could of not have me
She could of aborted me
She could of terminated me
In the womb

But she wanted
She wanted to care for me
As long as I live
In different stages of my life
She loves me
She wanted and still to protect me
From decieving x-wifes
Who cheat
Who wreck and destroy my life
She warned me

But she knew I  had to learn on my own
I had to go through it all
She is proud of me

She sees me Graduate from High school
She cried
She sees me go to Europe
She Hugged me
She sees me go to DC
For an Internship
She kissed me on the check
Told me to watch out for the ladies
She sees me get a Job and Full scholarship
To stay in DC to work for the Government
She cried; Knew I would stay in DC
That her life would change
She sees me graduate from UMCP with my degrees
She was proud
She sees me sell my first painting
She admired me and was proud
She sees me publish my first poetry book
She is proud
She sees me publish my secound book
She felt love for me
She gave me nine month
But it is more
SHe is my mother
She will be there for me...

Always for me
She knows I respect her
She knows I love her
I have a funny feeling she
will out live us all.

Curves of Your Curls

Curves of Your Curls

As I sit in my room
Alone
Of white walls
And pictures
of moments gone by

Pictures from my brushstrokes
From my mind
To my canvas
And now upon my wall
No longer just a moment
But upon my wall
To remember

Now I sit
Remember your Curves
Of your curls
As when I see you
for the first time
I see you and remember
Oh I remember
Your curls
Because they Frame
Frame your soul
Your essence
Your tear drops
When you are happy
Or when you are sad
At me...
Or someone else
I always remember your curves
Of your curls

Those dynamic Curves of your curls
Touch my soul
Touch my eyes
Touch my heart
Each beat is touched by your Curls
Your Curves of your Curls

I follow your curves of your curls
To remember your momens
In my eyes
As they reflect on my life
As your curves caress my thoughts
Of my mind
Those dark figures
Of your Curls
Touched my soul
Touched my heart
Touches my spirit

Oh I feel in love
with the Curves of your Curls
Those Life filled Curls
Of those Curves of your soul
Of your heart
Those Curves of Your Curls

As I sit in my Room
I remember those days
Those days with the Girl
WIth the curves of your curls

Curves of Your Curls

Those Curves
Of your Curls

Falling Love from Above

Falling Love From Above

Having Dinner with a deep Soul
Peering at her at the live concert
Listening to local bands
At the local bars

Eatting at an after hours Place
Laughing; telling jokes; interrelating
Staring at our eyes
Those instant moments of silence
Looking at each other
Enjoying
Remembering
The Moment

Then walking to her Car
Then the Love falls from Heaven
Falling from the sky
From the Moist Emotional Feelings
As we both
Felt it all
As we make it to your car
Wet and damp
Happy and emotional
Feeling my heart
Beat as fast
As fast...
As the rain came down
From the heavens
Through the sky

As we stare at each other
Wonder what was next...
As the rain encapsulate our moment
As we grin
As we giggle slightly
As we realize we touched
As I touch your arm
Caressing Feeling your energy
Feel what you feel
As I fall deep deep into your eyes
Like the rain falling
Falling Love
Upon us
Upon our skin
Upon our thoughts
Upon my mind

Falling Love
Touched my thoughts
As we caress each other
Desiring each other
Wanting this moment
Envisioning this time
This hour
This minute
This moment

Your lips pressed upon mine
As I taste your love
Within my soul
Within my moist feelings
Upon my heart
My beating heart
Your pinkish-Red lips
Lips that I desire
Oh the Rain
The falling Rain
Falling Love

Falling Love
In my life

Moisture

Moisture

As the first drop
Falls from the sky
Of lovers and dreamers

I can feel the start
Of a romantic thought
A moment that I will...
Will remember until I take my last breath
In this world of moments and thoughts

I start to feel the light rain
As I start the moment
As I peer into your eyes
I can feel the beauty
The desire in your eyes
As we spent the last hours
Upon the face of our existence
Upon the melted clock
That no longer existed
As time stopped for us
As the hands of time stopped
And faded away

All we can feel is those drops
that fall from the sky
That fall upon our hearts
And our touch as we start
Start to touch our lips
Upon our thoughts
Our desire to be together
To remember forever
in our life time this moment
As we kiss... As we hug... As we loved

Remember it all
as we get wet
With with cupids arrows
From above with liquid arrows
Into our hearts
Into our souls
As this moment is the start
Start of our Romance...

As we touch
Touch as one
In the...
The Moisture

In your hearts
In the sky
In your eyes
As we love
In the rain
In the drops...

The moisture
